Modelling Crop Yields in Pakistan to Increase Productivity and Reduce Environmental Impacts
Project Description: This project aims to address the challenges of agricultural sustainability in Pakistan, where a traditional focus on maximizing crop yield through excessive nitrogenous (urea) fertilizer application has led to environmental degradation. By integrating various factors such as balanced fertilizer use, tillage, irrigation, and crop residue management, the project seeks to identify Best Management Practices (BMPs) to enhance agricultural productivity, reduce GHG emissions from agriculture, and achieve multiple UN SDGs simultaneously.
