Industrial trip to Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR)

  • Purpose of the trip: Latest practical interventions for water conservation, recovery and treatment. Latest trends of Water Resources of Pakistan, the Indus Basin Irrigation System, Irrigation Techniques, Control Structures, Drainage Engineering, and related issues.
  • Student learning outcomes: To equip the students with latest research and development in the sector of water resources in Pakistan

Industrial Visit to National Cleaner Production Center (NCPC), Morgah

  • Visiting place:  National Cleaner Production Center (NCPC), Morgah
  • Accompanying faculty members: Dr. Noor Haleem & Ms. Anesa
  • Purpose of the trip: The visit was closely aligned with the semester’s curriculum, offering students a practical perspective on cleaner production practices
  • Student learning outcomes: The primary objectives of this course are to acquire basic understanding and technical knowledge on greener and cleaner production options so that students can proactively decide and select better options relevant to good housekeeping, process optimization, product modification and better process control. The visit offered the students a practical exposure to these technologies. The coordinators at NCPC delivered an informative presentation highlighting their initiatives for environmental stewardship and the available facilities at the center. Following the presentation, students toured the entire facility, gaining first-hand insights into the operations and interacting with the coordinators.
