On October 11th, 2024, the NUST Environment Club (NEC), under the mentorship of faculty sponsor Dr. Iram Gul, organized a lighthouse event as part of the “Youth Climate Adaptation Day” at the IESE (SCEE) seminar hall. The event aimed to raise awareness about climate change and its far-reaching consequences while encouraging youth-driven adaptation and innovation to address the pressing environmental challenges.
The highlight of the event was a panel discussion featuring distinguished speakers: Mr. Abdul Shakoor Sindhu (Sheharsaaz), Ms. Anam Rathor (GIZ), and Prof. Dr. Romana Bangash (NBS, NUST). The panelists shared valuable insights on the impacts of climate change and discussed strategies to inspire young people towards building a resilient and sustainable future.
